Showing Up for The Hidden Script (Even When It’s Scary)
So here’s the truth.
I made a video about Apple that’s now sitting at 8 million views.
Crazy, right? I even sent emails talking about how excited I was to go viral under the Jemeems brand. I said, “Next up? I want to go viral for my book, The Hidden Script.”
But then… silence.
No content. No posts. Just me, quietly side-eying myself like, “So… we just gonna sit on this momentum or…?”
At first glance, it might look like I’m self-sabotaging. Like I got scared of success and ran back into the shadows.
But I don’t believe that’s what’s happening.
This isn’t sabotage—it’s the growing pains of someone who knows what’s possible… and is still learning to believe it’s safe to go for it.
It's ok to go for it
See, the Apple video? That was fun. Off-the-cuff. I didn’t overthink it. I wasn’t trying to be perfect. I just showed up. And it took off.
But when it comes to my book—my world, my characters, my heart and soul on pages—the stakes feel higher. I want every frame to be just right. I want people to get it. I want it to matter. And that pressure? It can get heavy.
But here’s what I’m realizing:
- I don’t need to go viral overnight.
- I don’t need to have the perfect setup or script.
- I just need to show up, little by little.
Because every piece of content I post—no matter how small—is a seed. And one day, someone’s going to stumble on a video and say, “Wait, what’s this? Why haven’t I heard of this book before?” And they’ll start reading. They’ll fall in love with the story. They’ll tell a friend.
That’s how the ripple begins.
So no more waiting for the stars to align.
No more pressure to be perfect before I post.
I’m showing up for The Hidden Script—messy, honest, creative, and committed.
The mission isn’t just to go viral.
The mission is to be faithful with the vision.
Thanks for being on the journey with me.
